1 If a child is injured before the age of eighteen which is directly related to the negligence of the coach then the child’s parents can claim on their behalf. Between the ages of eighteen and twenty one then the child concerned has a three year window of opportunity to claim against the coach.
2. If a coach, coaching, in say a sports centre is the subject of a claim, then the claimant, claims against the sports centre. The sports centre then claim against the coach.
3. If a coach is found guilty of negligence by the court then the insurance company will pay out to the claimant. The insurance company may then regain the costs of the compensation by suing the coach for losses.
